Decision Making and the Cynefin Framework with Perry Parendo

We all make decisions. Improving our skills can make our job and life better. How did we learn to make these decisions? Usually, it is very informal. Early in our consulting career, we researched a comprehensive decision-making process and provided it to our training clients. It immediately impacted internal discussions and impacted project execution.
However, as time went on, we found barriers for students being fully comfortable and competent. We discovered additional information that changed how we looked at the topic, and began sharing this with our classes. Our goal is to provide these tools and ideas to the group during our discussion, and expose everyone to the new concepts we discovered as recent as this last summer.
This will be accomplished through small group discussions to gain knowledge from the larger group, and allow more in-depth investigations for our particular ideas.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
- Evaluate our personal decision-making approach
- Gain exposure to recent advancements in decision making framework
- In a small group setting, identify something to enhance our decision making after the discussion
